Sick children

I was awaken at 4:30 this morning to a child with a fever. I could hear Anna Claire being extremely restless on the monitor then heard her call out for mama. When I went to check on her, she was hot. Her temp was 102. I stumbled downstairs to pour her some juice then put her to bed with Andy and me. After 45 mins of her playing we got up and retreated to the couch for most of the morning. Another check of her temperature at 8:30, and another fever....so I called the Dr. . The Dr. looked her over, nothing. Termed it a fever virus and sent me home.
Its so pitiful when your child doesn't feel well. While she atempted to eat her lunch, she would wimper and rub my arm saying "I miss you mama". You miss me??? I'm sitting right beside you. This is a definite sign that my baby doesn't feel well. Granted she is a very loving child, she seems to be even more so when not feeling well.
Its an utterly heartbreaking feeling when theres nothing you can do to ease your child's ill feelings.
So as any good mother would do, we went out for ice cream!!! It helped!

Christmas Time is coming

WOW! Time sure does fly. I guess I am stuck in a time warp. Seems like everyone is aging but me! I feel 30 most days but somtimes when I see people younger than me all grown up, I'm like when did they grow up?

Anna Claire is now potty trained!! YEAH!! She is anxiously awaiting a fish and barbie doll from Santa Claus. I'm not sure what kind of fish she has in mind, but there will be a fish on Christmas day!

Does anyone really read blogs?

We are so busy today that I wonder who really reads blogs or cares what others have to say for that matter. All of this to say that I will keep in interesting .

embarassed

Today when I picked Anna Claire up from school....she was carrying on about panties. She continued to talk about panties and said "my panties". I told her once we got home, I would get her some panties. So when we got home she found a swimmer diaper in her closet and insisted it was panties, so I put it on her. Well we went on about our business and went to Old Navy. Standing in Old Navy, she wet her swimmer diaper, which by the way, does not hold water or tee tee for that matter. So there is a puddle of tee tee on the floor at Old Navy. We got out of there in a hurry.
